MIL-COTS VI BRICK PRM, VTM, and BCM modules utilize the technical advantages of Factorized Power™ including high density and efficiency, low noise operation, fast transient response, and elimination of bulk capacitance at the point of load (POL). These regulation and transformation modules provide the flexibility and scalability to design for unique requirements based on multiple outputs, power levels and physical layout. The rugged aluminum baseplate enclosure and through-hole pin connection provide a simplified platform for mounting and thermal management.
The MIL-COTS VI BRICK PRM operates from a wide input range of 16 – 50 Vdc, meeting many of the ground vehicle and airborne requirements of MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-704. Rated for 120 W, the 28 V PRM produces a nominal factorized bus voltage of 36 Vdc, controllable over the range of 26 – 50 Vdc. The downstream isolated VI BRICK VTM is available with twelve voltage division ratios from 1:1 to 1:32 and provides the user with flexibility to supply up to 100 A or 120 W at any output voltage from 1 to 50 Vdc in a surface-mount package occupying only 1 square inch.
The MIL-COTS VI BRICK Bus Converter Module (BCM) is a high efficiency (>96%), Sine Amplitude Converter (SAC) operating from MIL-STD-704E/F 270 Vdc and delivering an isolated 30.0 – 41.3 Vdc or 38.3 – 55.0 Vdc. The BCM is suitable for use with the MIL-COTS PRM–Regulator and VTM–Current Multiplier, and is ideal for aircraft distributed power applications.

MPQI-18LP – V•I Chip Input EMI Filter – The MQPI is a surface mount, DC front-end filter that provides EMI filtering for Vicor’s 28 V MIL-COTS DC_DC V•I Chip or VI BRICK modules. The MQPI enables designers to meet conducted emission / conducted susceptilibility per MIL-STD-461E.
